The North Delhi Power Ltd (NDPL) on Friday approached the Delhi high court for a direction to the Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission (DERC) to determine the tariff for the financial year 2010-11.

A salesman at a jewellery shop in South Extension market was shot at and robbed by armed bikers on Friday morning.
The police said the victim, identified as Sita Ram, who works for “Blue Gems and Jewels” in South Extension Part I, had left the store along with a security guard Sudhir to deposit `11.4 lakhs in Union Bank of India’s D block branch in the area.

CAG tells PAC: Ask Sibal to explain
A day after submitting a protest letter on Union minister Kapil Sibal’s comments on the CAG’s findings on the presumptive losses caused in the allocation of 2G spectrum, the CAG wrote a letter of request to the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) urging it to summon the Union minister before the PAC and ask him to explain his statements. Mr Sibal had said the CAG’s conclusions on the loss to the exchequer being `1.76 lakh crore was “utterly erroneous”.
Govt lists steps to check rise in prices
Battling increasing criticism from the aam aadmi and the Opposition for its failure to check rising prices, the government on Thursday sought to reassure the common man by spelling out once again the steps it is taking to check the upward spiral. It said it will be undertaking a periodic review of the import and export of all essential commodities and warned of a crackdown against hoarders and black-marketeers who manipulate prices.
