HC: Make FIR public in 24 hrs

In order to bring more transparency in criminal investigations, the Delhi high court on Monday directed the city police to make public the FIR within 24 hours by uploading it on its website.

Girl refuses drink, is molested

A young girl was allegedly molested by the son of a businessman at a late night party at Sainik Farms after she refused to accept a drink offered by the accused.
Police sources said the victim’s bodyguard was also assaulted when he tried to rescue her. On the basis of her complaint, the police has registered a case under Section 354 of the IPC against the accused, identified as Abhishek Aggarwal, a resident of E-block, Vasant Vihar, and he was placed under detention.
