Digvijay’s body taken to Bihar

The body of former Union minister Digvijay Singh, who died two days ago at a hospital in London, was on Saturday taken to his hometown in Bihar for cremation.
Singh, the sitting Lok Sabha member, breathed his last at St Thomas Hospital where he was being treated for heart ailment on June 24. He suffered a brain haemorrhage while in the hospital. The body was taken to Gidhaur on the Poorva Express. The cremation will be held on Monday in Gidhaur.

DMK chief not in mood to pull out son

With the DMK given only three Cabinet berths following its strength of 19 MPs, Mr T.R. Baalu could not be accommodated and Mr M.K. Alagiri, the Tamil Nadu chief minister’s son, was preferred. However, even if Mr A. Raja is withdrawn, the DMK chief is not in the mood right now to recall his son, Mr Alagiri, known for long absences from both his ministry and Parliament.

Delimitation may decide seat pact in Bihar

After the thaw in the JD(U) and the BJP relations in Bihar, the next hurdle for the two parties is all set to be seat-sharing arrangement.
