Congress president Sonia Gandhi has asked for a detailed report on the alleged illegal iron ore mining scam in Goa that has the local Congress government on the backfoot.

Kulkarni joins VIPs in Tihar

After being sent for a four days judicial custody, former BJP leader and close aide of L.K. Advani, Sudheendra Kulkarni joined the league of VIP inmates in Tihar on Tuesday. 54-year-old Kulkarni, who was known for his contribution in the speeches of former Prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, was taken to the Tihar jail on Tuesday evening. Mr Kulkarni was sent for medical examination before being lodged in the jail.
