Woman, 60, found murdered

Two women were found dead in central Delhi on Wednesday. The police registered cases of murders at the Hauz Qazi and Ranjit Nagar police stations.
According to the investigating officers, 60-year-old Shaukat Begum, who lived alone, was found strangled at her Hauz Qazi residence early on Wednesday. The deceased was found dead by her maid.

Colombian held for burglaries

A Colombian national has been arrested on charges of burglary by the south Delhi police. The accused and his gang of fellow countrymen committed burglaries after arriving here on tourist visas. The police has recovered `1.56 lakhs in cash, besides gold and silver jewellery worth over `15 lakhs.
