Thomas to seek review of verdict

Even though the Supreme Court has quashed CVC P.J. Thomas’ appointment deciding the question of applicability of “quo-warranto” writ in his case, he still is planning to move the apex court for review of the verdict on the ground that the judiciary’s jurisdiction in the matter was limited only to the presidential reference.

Three juveniles have been arrested by the south Delhi police for allegedly being involved in a theft-arson incident in Sarojini Nagar on March 6.

Two men have been arrested in a joint operation by the special cell and the east Delhi police for allegedly killing Anna Mammen, the 79-year-old mother of Rebecca John, the defence counsel in Aarushi Talwar murder case, at Vivek Vihar in east Delhi on March 8. The police has recovered the robbed jewellery and `80,000 from the accused.

2 scrap dealers killed in Noida for illicit links

The bodies of two scrap dealers were found in a vacant plot in Sadarpur area of neighbouring Noida on Saturday. There were no clothes on the two bodies. The police suspects that illicit relations of the two men may have something to do with the double murder. A couple of suspects have been detained and are being questioned in this regard.
