Mehta: Govt sent reply to CVC queries
The Delhi government on Monday said it has sent a “point-by-point reply” to all the “queries” related to the Games projects by the Central Vigilance Commission.
Rejecting the allegations of corruption and irregularities in the Games-related projects, chief secretary Rakesh Mehta said, “Panic has been created unnecessarily as the report by the CVC was a routine assessment.”

MCD contractors warn of intensifying stir
The MCD contractors, who have been on strike protesting against pending payments of their dues for the past 18 months, have now threatened to bring their counterparts involved in the Games-related projects within the ambit of agitation. They had earlier been claiming that CWG contractors have been kept away from the strike, which began on July 21, in “national interest”.
