ED plans to summon Raja, 9 telecom firm officials

The Enforcement Directorate, which reportedly issued summons to nine more private telecom companies on Thursday, is now planning to send summons to former telecom minister A. Raja for questioning in connection with its probe into 2G spectrum scam.

Noose around Kalmadi tightens

CBI questions ex-Trai chief

The CBI on Monday questioned former chairman of the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India, Mr Pradeep Baijal, in connection with its probe into SG spectrum scam.
According to sources Mr Baijal joined a PR consultancy firm, which provided consultancy services to several private telecom companies which were in the race of 2G allotment.

400 CBI cases against govt officials pending

Even as there is a huge public outcry over various scams involving the government, it appears that the ministries or departments concerned are least bothered to curb corruption.

CBI prepares its business list

The CBI, probing the 2G spectrum scam, is reportedly preparing a list of government nominees to different public sector units for their alleged role in the allotment of 2G spectrum. Besides, the agency is also preparing a list of chartered accountancy firms which allegedly helped manipulate the books of several telecom companies.

Probe agencies demand original documents

The Central probe agencies have made it clear that they would accept nothing but the original documents related to all aspects of several contracts of the Commonwealth Games from the Organising Committee, headed by Suresh Kalmadi.

OC officials in China recalled

Some top Commonwealth Games organising committee officials now attending the Asian Games in Guangzhou, China, have reportedly been summoned back to India by the government, possibly for questioning, following revelations by two top aides of OC chairman Suresh Kalmadi now under arrest.
Mr Kalmadi, incidentally, is among the OC officials now in China.

CBI arrests two top Kalmadi aides

The CBI, which is investigating allegations of corruption in preparations for the Delhi Commonwealth Games, made its first arrests on Monday. Two top officials of the CWG organising committee (OC), who had already been sacked following allegations of corruption, were arrested on charges of forgery and cheating in connection with alleged irregularities in the Queen’s Baton Relay (QBR) in London last year.

CBI may arrest more Gujarat cops

The CBI is likely to arrest some more officials of the Gujrat police in connection with probe into the Sohrabuddin Sheikh fake encounter case, in which former Gujarat’s minister of state (home) Amit Shah is also an accused.

CBI scrutinises Adarsh land records
