CBI may probe CWG mess after Games over: CVC
While the Delhi government and the Commonwealth Games 2010 Organising Committee have been dismissing the Central Vigilance Commission’s reports of alleged irregularities in 16 CWG projects, the CVC is preparing to hand over the reports to the Central Bureau of Investigation for further investigation. However, the exercise will be carried out after the Games.
CVC ask DDA to file report
The Central Vigilance Commission’s Chief Technical Examination Wing has asked the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) to submit a detailed report and explain why its hotel projects related to Commonwealth Games failed to take off. It also wants to know whether or not the builders involved in construction of the hotels were availing of the tax benefits extended to them for making their projects viable.
