Secret fighter deal file lost and found

In a major security lapse, a “secret” file of the Indian Air Force on the ongoing `42,000-crore (over $11-billion) Medium Multi-role Combat Aircraft (MMRCA) deal process went missing and was recovered. The IAF has ordered a court of inquiry.

HC grants relief to AIIMS doc

A division bench comprising Justices Pradeep Nandrajog and Siddharth Mridul of the Delhi high court has asked the AIIMS authorities to appoint Dr Anand Kumar as the professor of reproductive biology at the premier health institute. The post has been lying vacant for the last ten years because of a legal dispute. In 2000, Dr Kumar’s appointment was quashed by the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT).

Woman, daughter found dead, kin allege foul play

A 32-year-old woman and her six-year-old daughter were found hanging at their Bindapur residence in southwest Delhi on Thursday in highly mysterious circumstances.
The parents of the decea-sed woman have accused her in-laws for the deaths. The deceased have been identified as Meenu Sharma and her daughter Deepti.

24-yr man found dead in S. Delhi
