Gujjar protests block Jaipur-Delhi rail route

The Gujjar protesters on Friday blocked rail route connecting Jaipur to Delhi in Dausa district, resulting in diversion of around 50 trains. The protesters also pelted stones at the police when the force tried to prevent the Gujajrs from blocking the train route. Meanwhile, the state government again made an appeal to the Gujjar leaders to join the talks.

Gujjars continue stir, affect traffic

The agitating Gujjar community members refused to withdraw their protest and continued to block the Mumbai-Delhi rail track on Tuesday. The rail authorities diverted 30 trains while the movement of seven trains was cancelled. The protesters also disrupted road traffic in Karauli district. Rajasthan chief minister Ashok Gehlot appealed to the Gujjar leaders to maintain peace and harmony.
