Considering that Drashta Sarvaiya’s showing at the Summer/Resort season of the Lakme Fashion Week earlier this year was so well-received, you’d expect the young designer to be relaxed about her latest collection, being showcased at the ongoing Winter/Festive season on in Mumbai. But no.

Change has come to the Lakme Fashion Week. Friday marked day one of the fashion extravaganza’s Winter/Festive season, and despite the familiarity of the routine (shows, post-show conferences, the mandatory air kissing), there was something different.

She was popular as VJ Ramona and later, as Sonia in Karan Johar’s Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham, but for nearly five years, Ramona Arena (formerly Sunavala) stayed away from the spotlight.
