Former Gujarat minister of state for home Amit Shah has been remanded to two days in Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) custody in connection with the alleged fake encounter killing of Sohrabuddin Sheikh after the Gujarat high court on Friday accepted the CBI plea for custody.
CBI probes ex-CID chief for nine hours
The CBI on Thursday challenged in the Gujarat high court the order of a lower court rejecting its plea for remand of former Gujarat minister Amit Shah in the Sohrabuddin Sheikh fake encounter case.

‘Raje met, rewarded Sohrabuddin encounter team’
Vasundhara Raje, who was the chief minister of Rajasthan when Sohrabuddin was killed, had personally met the Rajasthan police team that had participated in his encounter, within a few hours of the encounter, appreciated their work, posed for pictures with them and also announced a reward.
‘Gujarat treated like enemy state’
Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi continues his attacks on the Congress, CBI and the Delhi sultanate saying they are treating “Gujarat as enemy state”.
On Saturday, Mr Modi hit out at the centre and its agencies like the CBI, which are out to “undermine his government”.

9 cops named, Shah spared
The Gujarat CID crime has chargesheeted nine cops including three IPS officials D.G. Vanjara and Vipul Agarwal of Gujarat cadre and Dinesh M.N. of Rajasthan cadre in Tulsi Prajapati fake encounter case.
