The Greater Noida district administration on Saturday secured the release of two Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority officers who were allegedly abducted by agitating farmers protesting for higher compensations for their land acquired by the UP government. The Delhi high court on Saturday deferred to March 8, the decision on the date of the DNA test for Congress leader N.D. Tiwari on a paternity suit by a youth claiming to be his biological son. The court issued notice to the Centre for Cellular Microbiology, Hyderabad, seeking an explanation for not discussing the test procedure with the court. A 30-year-old property dealer was shot dead late on Friday in north Delhi by four unidentified men riding motorcycles. Police officers said that the initial investigations in the case point out to a possibility of personal rivalry.
