SC notice to Joshi on tender votes
The Supreme Court on Wednesday issued notice to rural development minister C.P. Joshi and Election Commission on an appeal by BJP MLA from Rajasthan on the issue of ‘tender” votes ordered to be counted by the state high court on Mr Joshi’s election petition on his one-vote defeat in the 2008 Assembly polls.

Delhi plan outlay Rs 11,400 crores
With the release of the Annual Plan 2010-11, the Delhi government on Wednesday confirmed approval of Rs 11,400 crores in the plan outlay. The plan size will be funded with the Central Plan Assistance of Rs 1,284 crores and the Delhi government’s own resources of Rs 10,116 crores, stated Delhi government officials.
The Annual Plan was released after a meeting between the Delhi government and Planning Commission officials.
CNG prices up by 25 per cent

The Indian women’s hockey team beat Canada 3-2 in the first test at the Tamanawis Park in Surrey on Wednesday, according to a Hockey India release.
