More PCR vans, police stations to check crime

The Delhi police plans to deploy more police control room vans and increase the number of police stations in the outer districts of the capital.
During an interaction with media on the Raising Day Parade, Delhi police commissioner B.K. Gupta said, “Vigilance would be increased in outer Delhi areas as they are more crime prone. Delhi police will soon get 75 new police control room (PCR) vans.”

‘Work to make women feel safe’

Delhi lieutenant-governor Tejendra Khanna on Wednesday said that it is not acceptable that Mumbai is considered safer for women as compared to Delhi and urged the Delhi police to take all possible steps to change the image of the city.
