Inter-caste couple found dead in city
In a suspected case of honour killing, a teenage couple belonging to different castes was found dead with multiple stab injuries in north-west Delhi’s Swaroop Nagar area on Monday.

Valley shuts down to protest youth killing
Kashmir Valley was shut on Monday to mourn and protest the June 11 killing of a Srinagar student in police action against a group of stone-pelting anti-India protesters which he reportedly was not a part of. During the strike called by separatist leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani, irate mobs clashed with police and CRPF at more than a dozen places in summer capital Srinagar and in the towns of Sopore and Anantnag leaving scores injured.
Jat strike off, water supply resumes tonight
A day after the agitating jat leaders cut off the water supply to the city, the crisis deepened in south and east parts of the city. Though the agitators called off their protest on Monday morning, normal water supply to the city is expected to be resumed only by Tuesday evening, as the treatment plants, Sonia Vihar and Bhagirathi, went dry on Monday.

Anand snubs Topalov comments
Viswanathan Anand dismissed Veselin Topalov’s comments about seeking assistance from former champions Gary Kasparov and Vladimir Kramnik during the world championship tie.
