Delhi chief minister Sheila Dikshit said Sunday she had sent a legal notice to city BJP chief Vijendra Gupta for defamation for having alleged that BJP hoardings had been removed at the behest of the chief minister. The notice claimed he “conspired to malign her reputation and image”, and demanded an “unconditional public apology” in three days.

Days after she was abducted from her north Delhi residence, a three-year-old daughter of a railways official was rescued from Kathmandu’s international airport by the Delhi police.
