And despite another celebrity controversy threatening to overshadow the event — pop star Beyonce lip-syncing to the national anthem, The Star Spangled Banner, instead of performing it live — Michelle managed to hold her own with her style statement.

Race 2 makers see red over spoof

Despite all its disclaimers, the spoof of Race 2, has not gone down well with the makers of the original film. Though it was all done in jest with no malicious intentions whatsoever, those associated with the Abbas-Mustan starrer came down heavily on those behind the spoof.

India will hold its first professional beach soccer championship in Goa next month, organisers Beach Soccer Worldwide said on Monday. The Goa Football Association and the Goa Football Development Council are backing the event, which will become a bi-annual feature in India and will see the participation of players from Goa’s popular football clubs and other prominent teams from around the country.

Incensed at the very thought of this happening, the over-protective dad Michael, rose to the occasion and publicly asked Taylor to ‘back off’ (hardly surprising, considering the songstress’ history with men).
