26 lakhs looted at petrol pump

Unidentified armed robbers struck at a petrol pump at Sector-35 in Noida, escaping with Rs 26 lakh after tying up and gagging the cashier and two others on Monday.
According to the Noida police, five men armed with guns and iron rods barged into the first floor office of Bharat Petroleum pump, located in Sector-35, around 7.30 am and rounded up the cashier.

A day after the agitating jat leaders cut off the water supply to the city, the crisis deepened in south and east parts of the city. Though the agitators called off their protest on Monday morning, normal water supply to the city is expected to be resumed only by Tuesday evening, as the treatment plants, Sonia Vihar and Bhagirathi, went dry on Monday.
