Judiciary can’t command the legislature, says HC

The Delhi high court has come down heavily on a civil services aspirant for filing a PIL seeking a direction to the Centre to amend constitutional provisions relating to right to equality under Article 14 and 15 of the Constitution, saying the judiciary cannot command the legislature.

Burglars strike at E. Delhi jewellery shop

Burglars struck at a jewellery shop in east Delhi on Thursday night and decamped with valuables worth over `20 lakhs.
The incident came to light on Monday morning when the owner, Anil, came to open his shop in Farsh Bazar area of east Delhi and found that the locks were broken, the police said. He went in and found the shop ransacked and jewellery missing,” a police official said.
