The Delhi police received 29 complaints of harassment, theft and loss of currency, accreditation cards, mobile phones and passports from athletes and delegates at the Games Village police station. In total nine cases were registered and 20 non-cognisable reports were filed. However, none of these cases have been solved so far with the sources claiming that a majority of them will “die a quiet death”.
1-hr delay on Sarita Vihar Metro line
The services of the Delhi Metro on the Central Secretariat-Sarita Vihar line will begin one hour after the usual time from Sunday in order to facilitate the integration of the Sarita Vihar to Badarpur stretch. The line had been opened on the morning of October 3 (the day of Commonwealth Games opening ceremony) from Central Secretariat to Sarita Vihar, which is part of the Central Secretariat-Badarpur line, as a special measure in the wake of the CWG.
