Power, water supply to be affected in S. Delhi

Parts of south Delhi will face power and water supply woes on Tuesday and Wednesday. The private power distribution company, BSES, has informed that due to the ongoing road widening work it will carry out a planned shutdown of a transmission line, which will affect power supply in parts of the south Delhi.

Transfer plea on foreign law firms’ entry soon

Union law and justice minister M. Veerappa Moily on Monday stated that it was planning to file a petition seeking transfer of the case relating to entry of foreign law firms in the country, pending before the Madras high court, to the Supreme Court.

BJP calls for early Assembly session

The BJP legislative party in its meeting on Monday demanded an early session of the Delhi Assembly to discuss the status of the preparations for the Commonwealth Games. Vocational courses for Classes 11, 12

Union human resources development minister Kapil Sibal on Monday stated that regional-level vocations will be introduced as subjects in CBSE for Class 11 and 12. He stated that new subjects would offer more choices to students and promote democracy in the classrooms.
