AICTE OKs 545 technical institutes
All-India Council of Technical Education has given approval to 545 new technical educational institutions to offer courses from 2010-11 academic session. The decision was taken at a executive council meeting of the body.
Monsoon in city by July 1st week

Youth felled by bullet in firing over water dispute
A 22-year-old youth was shot dead and four others injured in a dispute over water in northeast Delhi on Sunday evening. The incident was reported from Karawal Nagar at around 11 pm on Sunday. The deceased has been identified as Bhagat Singh. “Four days back, the supply to a common tap was cut as it was illegal. Two groups led by Vijender Chaudhary and Vijender Sharma started blaming each other,” a source said.

Rahul mobile phone stolen from baggage at IGI, found
