A labourer has been arrested by the outer Delhi police for allegedly killing his wife on Friday morning. The accused suspected that his wife was having an affair with another person.

72-year-old stabbed in his house

A 72-year-old man was on Saturday found stabbed to death in his house at Daryaganj in central Delhi. The police suspects robbery to be the motive behind the incident.
According to the police, the incident came to light when the neighbour of senior citizen Dev Sen, a tent owner living near Jain Temple in Daryaganj, went looking for him and found the house ransacked around 10.30 am. He then informed the police.

6 held in bid to sell stolen idol

Six persons have been arrested by the central Delhi police for allegedly trying to dispose of an antique stolen idol of “Lord Aadinath”, one of the founders of Jainism. The accused expected to fetch Rs 9 crores by selling the idol that was apparently stolen from a Rajasthan temple. The idol dates back to the year 1559.
