A lookout circular has been issued against controversial godman Asaram Bapu in connection with a sexual assault case. The Jodhpur police also served a notice asking him to be present on August 30 for questioning in Jodhpur. The police team was kept waiting for hours.

The Jodhpur police has dispatched two teams to Gujarat and Madhya Pardesh to investigate the sexual assault case against controversial godman Asaram Bapu. “One team is in Chhindwara while another is in Ahmadabad,” said deputy commissioner of police, Jodhpur, Ajaypal Lamba.

The People Union for Civil Liberties (PUCL) has launched a website named “Pheku” to expose what it says are the truths and myths of Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi. “The website will help people know the truth about Modi’s so-called Gujarat model,” said Radha Kishan, a senior PUCL functionary.

A Facebook friend allegedly raped a Jaipur-based girl in Kota on Sunday night. The accused, Manish Saini, who is a software engineer, raped the victim and later handed her over to his friend to rape her. The police in Kota launched a manhunt to arrest Manish and his friend Nandkishore, an engineer student.
