Poaching: Fresh charges on Saif, Tabu & others

A court in Jodhpur on Saturday framed revised charges against actors Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, Neelam and Sonali Bendre in a 14-year-old case of poaching two black bucks. All the actors, who were present in court, denied the charges and pled innocent.

Four get life term for rape of minor girl

A local court in Bhilwara awarded life imprisonment to four people for raping a minor girl after abducting her while she was attending to her mother in a hospital. But the court acquitted one of the accused as the prosecution could not establish the case against him. The court also slapped a fine of `15,000 on the convicts. The court pronounced its verdict in Bhilwara on Friday.

Father arrested for baby’s death

The Rajasthan police has arrested Bahadur Singh, father of a five-month-old baby girl who died here at a government hospital on Wednesday, for causing grievous injuries to his daughter and Section 302 of the IPC for murder has been slapped against him, SP Bikaner Rakesh Saxena said.

Baby girl dies after dad bit off lips, nose

Radha, a five-month-old girl severely injured when her drunk father chewed off her upper lips and nose in a fit of rage, died at Jaipur’s SMS Hospital Wednesday. She was brought from Bikaner to Jaipur for plastic surgery.
Doctors who operated last Friday said her condition worsened after being breast-fed by her mother as milk entered her lungs.
